Windows Server Update Services error 13042

Po přechodu WSUS na verzi 3.0 SP1 na jednom serveru přestali fungovat aktualizace a v eventlogu na serveru se objevovali následující chybové hlášení:

Event ID: 13042
Zdroj: Windows Server Update Services
Popis: Self-update is not working. / Automatická aktualizace nefunguje.

Řešení problému:

Provést kontrolu IIS, zda existuje Virtuální adresář SelfUpdate a poslouchá na portu 80, tedy obecně je vytvořen v Default web sites.
Tento virtuální adresář musí ukazovat na \program files\update services\selfupdate a musí mít povolen anonymní přístup a samozřejmě správná NTFS oprávnění pro zmíněnou složku.
V registry pod klíčem HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Update Services\Server\Setup je nastavený port, pod kterým WSUS běží.
Pro testování správné funčnosti je možno použít utilitu C:\Program Files\Update Services\Tools\wsusutil.exe

Hledáte-li správce sítě nebo prostě nekoho kdo umí spravovat servery, hledejte na www.petr-hladis.cz
